Bob Sapp vs. Kinniku Mantaro = 19 Million Japanese Viewers
Just amazing. The debut of a masked anime character at K-1 Fields Dynamite on NYE brought in 19 million viewers from Japan alone. The fight had an 18.9 rating and Bob Sapp defeated the masked fighter via referee stoppage.
Hong Man Choi upped his rating since last years NYE event where he lost to Fedor Emelianenko. His fight against Mirko Cro cop drew a 15.9 which is a 14% increase.
The whole show drew an 11.9 rating putting it 3rd on Japanese television for the night behind NHK’s Red & White concert (38.9 rating) and a NTV comedy show (15.4 rating).
