Karo Parisyan Tests Positive for Painkillers After UFC 94
Karo Parisyan was once close to being on top of the UFC Welterweight division. With a record of 19-5 Parisyan is probably about to hit a massive rough-patch in terms of his career. In the standard drug tests that the Nevada State Athletic Commission perform after every event Karo Parisyan tested positive for several painkillers, including Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone.
Pasisyan fought Korean judo practitioner Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 94. Parisyan won the bout via split decision. There has been no word on whether Parisyan will be suspended or if the result of the bout will result in a no contest.
All of the other tested fighters (Georges St. Pierre, B.J. Penn, Lyoto Machida, Thiago Silva, Clay Guida, Jon Jones, Jake O’Brien, John Howard, Thiago Tavares, Stephan Bonnar and Nate Diaz) resulted in a negative when the tests came back.
