UFC 88: Breakthrough Fight Bonuses
As always the UFC selected fighters that are deserving of recieving some extra cash for their efforts. The fight bonus this time around was $60,000 each. No surprise who the knock out of the night went to though right?
Knockout of the Night: Rashad Evans took the 60K for his one punch KO on Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell.
Submission of the Night: Jason MacDonald took submission of the night due to it being the only submission. He got a rear-naked choke on Jason Lambert.
Fight of the Night: Kurt Pellegrino and Thiago Tavares took fight of the night. I never got to see it but I hear it was a good one.
So two of the three win bonuses came from the preliminary bouts. I personally believe that this event was a big mess up on Joe Silva’s part. Matt Brown and Dong Hyun Kim should of never been on the main card, if anything Jason MacDonald deserved to be there due to his recent performances.

Chuck Liddell is on a Mission to Regain His Title
“He finds a way to win. He’s done a good job controlling his fights. He’s good on top, and he moves well on his feet. He’s elusive and hard to hit, but I’m going to see if I can catch him…. I’m on a mission to get my title back and end my career on a streak of wins. I’m in shape, and I’m going to keep throwing like I do. The knockout power is still there.”
While talking to Sherdog.com earlier today Chuck Liddell discussed upcoming opponent at UFC 88 Rashad Evans. If the Iceman was to win the main event fight next weekend chances are he will get a shot at Forrest Griffin to try and reclaim the light heavyweight title. Chuck Liddell is currently favorite to win the fight at -260 over at BetUS as of writing this article.
