Faber Vs. Pulver: An All Out WAR!

Well what a fight it was. Both guys gave it their all in this fight and showed some awesome respect for each other throughout. Faber showed fans that he can stand and give some good punches. Pulver also showed he can wrestle on the ground. All though Faber won every round Pulver continued to give it his all. The fight was a constant back and forth between the two Pulver would give some and take some back only minutes later. The only place this fight came close to really finishing was when Faber was smashing the side of Pulver’s head, personally I’m surprised he got up but it’s good to see he was committed. This fight was an all out WAR!! It showed amazing stand up from both fighters and some solid ground work from the two too.
The fighters salaries have also been announced Urijah Faber was paid $44,000 ($22,000 win bonus) and Jens Pulver was paid $33,000.
Now, the usual disclaimer: the figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter’s income. They also do not include any un-reported “locker room” bonuses that organizations sometime pay. In other words, these are simply base salaries reported to the CSAC and do not represent the total amounts earned by each fighter. MMA JUNKIE

Urijah Faber Vs. Jens Pulver: In Training
A little video of how Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver think the fight will go and what their training regimes are like. One thing is for certain, this featherweight bout will be a great one. They will be fighting June 1st for the WEC featherweight title
Urijah Faber Training Hard for Upcoming WEC Fight

“He’s super dedicated to what he does whether it be training for fighting, or supporting his guys in their fights. He’s respectful to his opponents, and doesn’t underestimate them. His training is excessive; a regimen that many would be and are hard pressed to keep up with. Some would call it overtraining, but to him it’s his every day thing, whether he has a fight coming up or not. The training level he kept up with this trip I took to see him was no more than when I went last august to sac and he didn’t have an impending fight. He’s got a funny sense of humor and a great rapport with the guys he trains.”
The quote comes from Urijah Faber about his upcoming WEC Featherweight title defense against Jens Pulver. The fight is set to take place in California on June 1st to over 8000 fans. This will be the biggest Featherweight fight of all time and only one man will leave the WEC Featherweight Champion.
WEC:Faber-Pulver Sells out lower bowl
Urijah Faber (left) will defend his featherweight title against Jens Pulver June 1st at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. The fight will be one of the most important featherweight bouts of all time.
World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) anounced today that they will be opening the upper tier of the ARCO arena to cope with the rush of ticket sales. WEC has currently sold around 8000 tickets to the event and decided to try and fill the arena. The new upper tier tickets will cost $35 each excluding all taxes and other fees.
“WEC fans bought all of the tickets so fast that we decided to open up more seats upstairs” said Peter Dropick, Vice President of Operations and Production for the WEC. “We originally planned to sell seats only in the lower sections for this event, but it’s going to be such an exciting night of fights that we want to accommodate as many fans as possible to see the live action.”
