WEC: Faber Vs Brown II Promo Video
Urijah Faber Gets A Second Chance Against Mike Brown @ WEC 41
WEC 41 will be taking place on June 7th and will feature a rematch between two featherweight greats, Mike Brown (17-4-1) and Urijah Faber (22-2). FiveOuncesOfPain broke the news today that the rematch would happen and that Faber will have the hometown crowd on his side in Sacramento, California.
This fight is a rematch of the title fight at WEC 36 where Mike Brown shocked Faber via (T)KO in the first round.
Another point that should be noted is that the event will not be on PPV as it was previously expected to be. Obviously Zuffa realize that fans are not willing to shed out another $30 every month for their fights.

WEC 38 Fight Recap and Thoughts:
WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner vs. Donald Cerrone
Fight recap: Jamie Varner despite the fact that Cerrone might have fouled is the biggest bitch in the fight game right now. Like seriously I can’t believe for one minute that anyone would lose vision over a graze of a knee. Seriously he is supposed to be a fighter. There is no way, absolutely no way that it should of stopped right there. Luckily it was an unintentional foul and all five rounds will be judged but for sure I am a definately not a fan of Varner anymore. He keeps saying “I can’t see, I can’t see” why doesn’t he just STFU.
49-46 Varner, 48-47 Cerrone, 49-46 Varner
I hate that bitch. Revoke his title for being a tool.
Urijah “The California Kid” Faber vs. Jens “Little Evil” Pulver (145-pound limit)
Fight recap: This time around it doesn’t quite make it all the way to the end. Faber destroyed Pulver. There is not really that much to recap due to the fact that it ended fairly early. 3 for 3 on main card fights in first round so far. Will the WEC go 4 for 4 we will see in a few minutes. Faber vs. Aldo should be the next bout for Faber and then the winner go on to face whoever the champion at that time would be.
Danillo “Indio” Villefort vs. Mike Campbell (170-pound limit)
Fight recap: Wow despite all the messing about with Versus and the NHL all-star game it seems that the show is easily back on track. Another first round (T)KO. Villefort managed to get control of Campbell while on the ground. Then Villefort got back control and began to unleash punches to the side of Campbell’s head. Campbell didn’t even attempt to buck Villefort off and consequently the fight was stopped at 3:53 of round one.
Jose Aldo vs. Rolando Perez (145-pound limit)
Fight recap: Things were looking good for Perez in his WEC debut. Both fighters were looking to stand and both were getting a good share of clean shots landing on their opponent. It looked like a second round may have been coming to the fans but out of nowhere Aldo hit Perez with an amazing knee. Perez dropped to the ground and Aldo finished him off before exiting the cage to celebrate with the fans in San-Diego. Looking at this fight and some of his previous wins Aldo may soon be looking at a fight with one of the big four names in the WEC Featherweight division. Maybe Aldo vs. the winner of Pulver and Faber seems like the right way to go.

Faber Vs. Pulver: An All Out WAR!

Well what a fight it was. Both guys gave it their all in this fight and showed some awesome respect for each other throughout. Faber showed fans that he can stand and give some good punches. Pulver also showed he can wrestle on the ground. All though Faber won every round Pulver continued to give it his all. The fight was a constant back and forth between the two Pulver would give some and take some back only minutes later. The only place this fight came close to really finishing was when Faber was smashing the side of Pulver’s head, personally I’m surprised he got up but it’s good to see he was committed. This fight was an all out WAR!! It showed amazing stand up from both fighters and some solid ground work from the two too.
The fighters salaries have also been announced Urijah Faber was paid $44,000 ($22,000 win bonus) and Jens Pulver was paid $33,000.
Now, the usual disclaimer: the figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter’s income. They also do not include any un-reported “locker room” bonuses that organizations sometime pay. In other words, these are simply base salaries reported to the CSAC and do not represent the total amounts earned by each fighter. MMA JUNKIE
