Another Big Knockout in a Koscheck Fight. This Time Against Him

February 21, 2009 · Filed Under 95, UFC · Comment

Josh Koscheck Vs. Paulo Thiago, UFC 95. Koscheck came into the bout after his stunning knockout of Yoshiyuki Yoshida at the UFC’s Fight for the Troops in December. Paulo Thiago entered the bout having not fought in the Octagon before but oh what a job he did.

The fight did not last too long, in fact most of the bout the U.K. crowd was booing because of a lack of action. Then it came. At 3:29 of the first round Koscheck got hit good. The punch knocked him directly to the ground wondering where he was. Referee Marc Goddard quickly stopped the fight which only lead to questioning from Koscheck.

Josh Koscheck Defeats Yoshiyuki Yoshida with First Round KO

Josh Koscheck defeated Yoshida in the first round at Wednesdays Fight for the Troops with a huge first round KO.

The fight was fully standing and at 2:15 in the first round Koscheck connected, and it was a good connection too. Yoshida was clearly out of it on his feet but Koscheck threw in one more punch just to put Yoshida into lights out mode.

Josh Koscheck definitely impressed the troops who came out to see the event, he even impressed me. Once again Koscheck is another fighter that will be climbing back up that welterweight ladder since his recent drop after his loss to Alves less than two months ago.
